My Florida Regional MLS offers a host of training classes designed to help you get the most out of your MFRMLS subscription. MFRMLS has a list expert trainers that travel regularly to GTR to instruct members. The following courses are taught by My Florida Regional MLS’s training staff.

Introduction Courses

This class gives new MFRMLS customers a basic overview of MFR products and services, along with a general tour of how the various functions of Matrix will benefit them in their real estate business. We’ll go over searching, utilizing map tools, reading a broker synopsis, adding and managing contacts, saving searches and setting up auto emails.

Required of new customers within the first 60 days of joining MFRMLS and required of all customers once every 2 years. As you and your colleagues rely on the MLS for accurate data, mistakes can be costly. MFR’s Compliance 101 class will cover MFRMLS’ rules and regulations along with the compliance procedures for accurate listing data, to ensure all customers have the tools they need to use the MLS to its fullest potential.    Topics include types of listings accepted in the MLS, required disclosures, dos and don’ts of public remarks, advertising guidelines, Internet Data Exchanges, Syndication, and more.

This class offers a comprehensive overview of the process to properly add a listing to the MLS and walks through each part of the add/edit tab in Matrix. The class also covers how to edit listings, change the status on listings, add photos and attachments, set up showing time and add open house information. Required for customers who need access to the add/edit tab and plan to enter their own listings.

Advanced Courses

This class takes Matrix use to the next level. Several advanced functions of Matrix geared towards improving productivity and efficiency are covered. Topics include customizing search forms, results grids, and reports, running stats on listings, exporting data to Excel, utilizing carts, customizing market watch and hot sheets, running market statistics and reports, utilizing the calculators, net sheets and buyer closing cost estimations under the finance tab, and more!  It is highly recommended to take the MLS Basic and/or the MLS Searches, Reports, and Contact Management classes prior to taking this course.

This class reviews all of the MFR products and services that can be useful to agents when searching for comparable properties or compiling CMAs. Topics include CMA options in Matrix, Cloud CMA, Realist, iMapp, and Data Coop, along with the Market Conditions Report. This class focuses on CMA products, not CMA techniques.

This class provides a comprehensive overview of the iMapp tax system. iMapp offers a wide variety of information (including tax information, permits, characteristics, comps reports, market data, and neighborhood demographic information) on any property in the state. You can also run a search for properties based on a variety of fields from tax data, MLS data or foreclosure data. iMapp also generates mailing labels based on your search results.

Bring your Matrix questions! This class is an open forum where customers can ask questions on the areas of Matrix they would like to further explore. Topics we’ve discussed previously include: Market Watch/Hot Sheets, customizing search forms, customizing the results grid, customizing exports, utilizing advanced search techniques, linking to additional MFR products and services, and using the MyFloridaHomesMLS.com agent page.

This class provides a detailed overview of how to conduct various searches in Matrix. Topics include performing quick and detailed searches, utilizing map-based searches, adding additional fields to search forms, and conducting speed bar searches.  In addition, this class will cover the information linked to listing reports through the external products such as Realist, iMapp, Data Coop, Down Payment Resource, the Market Conditions Report, etc.  A comprehensive overview on how to set up and manage auto emails will then be given, along with how to use concierge mode, how the customer portal works, and how agents can track customers’ portal activity. This class will give you a great overview of how to search in Matrix and get the most of out of your search results!

The real estate profession is becoming increasingly mobile, and it is becoming critical for agents to be able to conduct business from any device. This class reviews the mobile tools that My Florida Regional MLS offers its customers. This class will explore all of the functions of the MyMLS App. The class will also show how to use the Showing Time mobile app and the DocBox feature of Transaction Desk.

This class provides a comprehensive overview of the Realist tax system. The first half of the class covers the various reports available for a particular property. The second half of the class is devoted to searching in Realist. Topics include the various search forms available, customizing search forms, specifying criteria and generating mailing labels, looking up distressed properties in a given area, and utilizing the various map tools.

Transaction Desk is powerful tool for agents to manage forms, documents, and files. Through Transaction Desk, agents can populate a wide variety of forms and contracts, create transaction templates, store documents, and track tasks for any transaction. Through Authentisign, agents can collect electronic signatures on forms and contracts through email. This class will go over the various functions of Transaction Desk and Authentisign and show agents how they can use these tools to maximize their business and eliminate the need for paper files.
