GTR Emergency Operations Plan

GTR has detailed a plan for reopening and operating to meet our highest priority – the safety of members and employees. These procedures shall affect all REALTORS®, Affiliates and employees and are for the benefit of our entire association.

The GTR Board of Directors adopted this plan by resolution on Thursday, May 14 and expects all members and employees to comply when engaging with GTR. We are currently in Phase 2.

Members should review the entire document to understand the full scope of procedures enacted for their benefit. We ask for your partnership and cooperation in following these guidelines. Click here to view the full plan.

Florida Safer-at-Home Update

On June 3, Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order 20-139 announcing Phase 2 of Florida’s reopening plan of the COVID-19: Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step, which began Friday, June 5.

Phase 2 allows restaurants to serve with social distancing. Bars can open at a 50% capacity indoors with recommended social distancing. Please Note: On June 26, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation suspended on premises consumption of alcohol at bars statewide.

There will be no limit on the capacity for outdoor seating as long as social distancing guidelines are followed. Entertainment businesses including movie theaters and bowling alleys can also operate at 50% capacity.

FAQs

As an independent contractor, how do I apply for unemployment benefits?

New guidance from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for independent contractors: If you submitted an unemployment application on or before April 4, 2020, YOU NEED TO APPLY AGAIN. If you submitted your application on or after April 5, 2020, you do not need to reapply. In both cases, independent contractors will be denied state benefits when DEO processes your application. Once denied, DEO will contact you with instructions on how to apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) benefits. This DEO flowchart helps explain the process.

Can I Schedule In-Person Open Houses Announcements in Matrix?

Stellar MLS will now offer both in-person and virtual open house announcement options in Matrix! There are still sellers and buyers that might not be ready for face/face open houses, and many agents have taken advantage of the new virtual open house option in Matrix. Stellar will now be distributing both types of open houses to third-party websites that the broker currently has authorized to receive their data. Please use caution and follow the latest guidelines endorsed by Florida REALTORS®.

If you have questions about Stellar MLS, please contact their Support Center at 800-686-7451 or email support@stellarmls.com.

Can I still purchase Supra lockboxes and store items?

Starting Monday, May 4 we will be offering the opportunity for our members to purchase electronic lockboxes via the REALTOR®  store on RAMCO. Visit tamparealtors.org/lockbox to purchase the lockbox and we will contact you to schedule a time to pick up the item at the W. Kennedy Blvd. location. Pickups will be by appointments only.

What is Member TeleHealth?

In response to the current health crisis, NAR is funding 2-months of access to Members TeleHealth at no cost to REALTORS®, via the Right Tools, Right Now program.

Members TeleHealth provides access to a network of more than 2,300 board-certified physicians, who can address non-emergency medical issues via smartphone, tablet or computer.

What is the Paycheck Protection Program?

The U.S. Small Business Administration designed a Paycheck Protection Program to help businesses retain workers, maintain payroll or make mortgage lease or utility payments.

It is being reported that Congress has not yet reached consensus on how to replenish the Paycheck Protection fund and reports are that the initial 350 billion allocated it fully committed. Florida REALTORS® is working to find out if applications can continue to be submitted until Congress votes to replenish the fund.
