In March of 2016, Dennis MacDonald stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer at Greater Tampa REALTORS®, and today, it is with a heavy heart we announce his departure from this position on Friday, October 21. Dennis expresses that this decision did not come lightly as he works with an innovative and supportive team who inspires him every day with their drive for excellence.
GTR has achieved many incredible milestones and outperformed in many areas. Dennis offers his gratitude to the staff who make a difference in the lives of many, members who trust in the value of our work, and the Board members who volunteer their time and talent for the betterment of this great association.
The search for Dennis’ successor is proceeding and until that person is named, Carol Austin, Greater Tampa REALTORS®’ former CEO, will serve as interim CEO. Carol previously worked at the association as CEO for 20 years and the Board of Directors is confident that she and the staff will continue to advance the work GTR has achieved over the past few years.
Carol begins her transition as interim CEO on Tuesday, October 11. During this time, Dennis will brief Carol on the inner workings of the association. This transition will have no impact on the level of service GTR provides to its members.
GTR President Bryson ensures the leadership team will extend every effort to a smooth transition between Dennis and interim CEO. The Board of Directors is aligned with the strategic plan and working closely together to implement it. The CEO Search Committee appointed by the Board is committed to finding the best CEO to keep GTR moving forward. There is much to be excited about in GTR’s future!
