Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County – Tampa Real Estate Build
REALTORS® know that homeownership plays a major role in economic mobility, which strengthens our neighborhoods and local economy. For these reasons, Greater Tampa REALTORS® has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County’s Tampa Real Estate Build.
GTR has donated $25,000 to assist the nonprofit in making the dream of homeownership a reality for a local family. Our members also have the opportunity to help build the home. Click here for more information and updates regarding the build.
MacDill Ambassador Program
Ambassadors should have two years of membership in GTR and be a full-time REALTOR® with priority given to applicants with at least one NAR approved designation and who have had at least 10 closings. Ambassadors will have to attend orientation.
Our MacDill Ambassadors program is not currently open for new volunteers.
If you meet the criteria listed above, please send an email to Lisa Brosky stating you would like to be notified upon additional volunteer ambassador enrollment.
Metropolitan Ministries
No one should go hungry during the holidays. In November, GTR® will host a canned food drive benefiting Metropolitan Ministries. Also, stay tuned for our Day of Service date(s) where you can donate your time by preparing a meal at Metropolitan Ministries.
Salvation Army – Real Estate for Rehabilitation
GTR is proud to partner with the local Salvation Army to provide goods for their Real Estate for Rehabilitation program. The furniture donated from our Association will help the Salvation Army’s mission to transform lives, one family at a time. Click here to read more about the program.
Voices for Children of Tampa Bay
Items that are collected are donated to Voices for Children (VFC) and are distributed through the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) program. VFC and GAL are extremely grateful to GTR for their support and dedication to the program.
There are many ways you can help. Numerous, convenient drop-off centers are available throughout the Bay area to collect backpacks. Collect as many items as you can and drop them off at the designated drop-off centers. NEW backpacks are the bags of preference as they can also be used for school. Click here for Voices for Children calendar of need.
For additional information on VFC or to make a monetary contribution, contact Regan Quick at (813)275-9300, email RQuick@vfcgal.org or visit www.vfcgal.org.
